Dental implants have become a more common treatment option in everyday dental practices. Dental implants are surgical-grade titanium root forms that may be used to replace single or multiple teeth. They can support a single crown, bridges or even dentures. They help to restore proper function, speech and facial appearance. The field of implant dentistry has evolved significantly with technological and scientific advances since the early 1960's.

The diagnosis and treatment planning of dental implants can be fairly complex and having extensive training and experience can be an asset in providing suitable care. Dr. Shah's first complete course on dental implants was in 1992 and since then, he has taken hundreds of hours of extensive training in this area. He has a fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantology and is a graduate of the Misch Implant Institute as well. Dr. Shah not only restores dental implants, but places many of his own as well. He has experience with over a half-dozen of the top implant systems available. He uses current implant planning software in conjunction with ct-scan technology to plan many of his cases to improve predictability and safety.

As an experienced dentist in comprehensive care, Dr. Shah can provide a knowledgeable and thorough approach to the entire implant treatment plan from surgery to final restoration. His experience and knowledge has created an opportunity where Dr. Shah has been invited to present lectures and workshops to dentists on dental implant advancements and treatments throughout North America and internationally.
